Shoshone Three-Day Release Check
The Shoshone County Sheriff's Office does not publish a discoverable 72-hour release feed, live roster, or recent-release archive. There is no official page to sort by release time. The county also states no online cadence, retention period, field set, or photo policy for such a list. A three-day check must therefore be built from a defined start and end time rather than a screen labeled “72 hours.”
That span is useful after a weekend or when the exact day is unclear. It can include several kinds of custody change: bond, dismissal, time served, probation, another court-authorized release, or transport to a new custodian. Only some mean release to the community. The sheriff's custody-event record and iCourt case should be read together.
The request should also account for the two facilities serving different groups. Shoshone County Jail is the adult county facility. Kootenai County Juvenile Detention Center serves Shoshone County by regional agreement, but juvenile identities and records follow separate limits. Adult release tools, IDOC adult search, and booking-news reports must not be used as substitutes for juvenile case information.
Check Shoshone Three-Day Releases
Use the exact three-day period in every contact. The sheriff operates the adult jail at 717 Bank Street, Wallace, Idaho 83873. Its number is 208-556-1114, and published administrative hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A broad request for “everyone released recently” may take more review than a request tied to one known person.
- Set the start and end date and time for the 72-hour span, including the correct local dates.
- Call the sheriff and ask whether the named person remained held, entered the community, or transferred during that span.
- Search Idaho iCourt for the matching Shoshone case and any bond, dismissal, probation, sentence, commitment, or later order.
- Submit the county form if the answer needs a record. Name the Sheriff's Office/911 department and complete the sheriff addendum.
- Request the release time, event type, authority, and destination. Check IDOC or VINE only when the case and custody type make those channels relevant.
For an event believed to have occurred today, the narrower Shoshone County 24-hour release check keeps the inquiry focused. The three-day method works best when the date is uncertain or office closures have delayed follow-up.
Shoshone 72-Hour Record Fields
No public Shoshone feed displays fields for this window. Instead, ask for specific elements from the county's custody record. These are requested items, not guaranteed public fields. The custodian can apply exemptions, redactions, availability limits, and actual fees.
| Requested element | Reason to request it |
|---|---|
| Name, birth detail, booking number | Separates the person and booking from similar records. |
| Booking date and arresting agency | Anchors the custody episode within the broader span. |
| Release date and time | Tests whether the event falls inside the stated 72 hours. |
| Release event or type | Shows whether bond, dismissal, time served, or another basis was recorded. |
| Releasing authority or order | Connects the physical event to the legal action. |
| Destination or transfer agency | Distinguishes community release from continued custody elsewhere. |
A court judgment establishes legal authority but may not give the door-exit time. A jail entry supplies the physical event. When those sources differ or use vague terms, ask the sheriff to explain whether “gone” means released or transported.
Shoshone Weekend Release Timing
Shoshone County publishes no special weekend or holiday release schedule. Do not infer one. Courts, jail staff, and record systems can act on different clocks, and an online court entry may appear before or after the physical custody event. A 72-hour period reduces the risk of searching the wrong single calendar day, but the sheriff still must confirm what happened.
Use iCourt to find the register of actions, then obtain a needed order from the filing clerk or courthouse kiosk. Magistrate Court handles misdemeanors and felony preliminary matters, while serious criminal cases proceed in District Court. The legal case can explain bond, dismissal, probation, or commitment. It cannot always establish the exact release moment.
The full Shoshone County released-inmate lookup is the better route when a named person may have moved across county, state, federal, or immigration custody. A weekend absence from local custody alone is too ambiguous.
Note: Define the period with dates and times rather than asking for a vague “weekend release” list.
Request Shoshone Release Records
The county forms page provides the written-request route. The current form lists Shoshone County, 700 Bank Street, Wallace, ID 83873, bocc@co.shoshone.id.us, and 208-752-3331. Choose email, mail, pickup, or in-person examination. State the person's identifiers, approximate booking, exact three-day range, and named record categories.
Ask for the booking summary and custody movement or release entries first. If a photo is also wanted, request it as a distinct item so photo review does not blur the custody question. The form calls for a resident or nonresident declaration and warns that processing charges may apply based on scope and volume. An advance estimate may be collected.
Idaho law generally gives an Idaho resident a grant or denial within three working days, with a possible extension to ten working days when more time is needed. Current investigatory or prosecution records may be withheld under Idaho Code § 74-124. A partial denial should identify its basis and appeal route; it does not make every other status field unavailable.
If the custodian calls the request too broad, narrow it to one booking summary and the movement or release entries within the stated dates. Ask for the photo in a later request if image review slows the answer. A focused request does not require the agency to research the person's full life history, and it makes the key release-versus-transfer question plain.
No Shoshone 72-Hour Feed
The official sheriff page documents the public contact route but offers no 24-hour or 72-hour release interface. No mobile app was found. VINE can provide participating custody status and alerts, but it is not the missing county list and does not promise a historic three-day view.
IDOC search is also limited to state correction jurisdiction. Its result can show In custody, In community, Discharged with a date, or Active Bench Warrant. A discharged date marks the end of IDOC jurisdiction and may not be the earlier prison-door release. A result with Shoshone County Jail as location can still involve state jurisdiction. Read each field in context.
That state-county overlap is not theoretical in Shoshone County. Official county minutes documented many state inmates awaiting transport from the local jail. Someone can therefore leave the county facility because IDOC transportation finally occurred. The wider three-day span may capture the movement, but the destination field determines whether it was a community release.
| Question | Use this source |
|---|---|
| Did the person leave Shoshone custody? | Sheriff confirmation or custody-event record |
| What court act authorized the change? | iCourt register and filed order |
| Did state custody or supervision follow? | IDOC Resident/Client Search |
| Can a future custody alert be set? | VINE for participating Idaho data |
The source split prevents a common error: treating release from one custodian as release from every authority.
Federal and immigration systems require the same care. A BOP result marked Released or Not in BOP custody proves only that federal Bureau of Prisons custody ended. ICE has a distinct locator scope for current custody and recent ICE releases. Neither creates a local three-day list, and neither resolves a Shoshone court case without the matching docket or order.
VINE alerts also have a limited role. Idaho VINE covers participating prison and jail data and can issue notices for custody events, but it is notification infrastructure rather than a permanent release archive. It does not promise the precise release time, reason, destination, charge, photograph, or retention period that a county feed might show. Agency updates and service interruptions can delay an alert.
If future notice matters, register while the person remains eligible in the participating system and keep the confirmation method current. For a past three-day event, call the custodian and request the record. A failed VINE search may reflect spelling, identifier, reporting-agency movement, or system lag. It does not settle whether the person was released.
After receiving the county answer, preserve the distinction in any notes: “released to the community,” “transferred to IDOC,” “moved to another jail,” or “status not confirmed.” The last option is more accurate than filling a gap with an assumption. Dates should identify the time zone and source, especially when a three-day span crosses a weekend or holiday.
