Check Shoshone 24-Hour Releases

A Shoshone County 24 hour release list would answer who was released in the last 24 hours from the county jail. The sheriff does not publish that kind of same-day feed online. A current answer instead comes from direct custody confirmation, a focused release-record request, and the related court case. State correction and notification systems can add context when another agency holds or supervises the person. Each source answers a different question. A name missing from local custody may reflect community release, a transfer, or a move into state jurisdiction, so the event and destination both need confirmation.

Shoshone 24-Hour Release Check

No discoverable official Shoshone County 24-hour release interface exists. The Shoshone County Sheriff's Office page gives the jail contact and public-record route, but it does not expose a current roster, a release filter, or a list of people who left today. It also publishes no feed window, update schedule, retention period, release fields, or photo display. That negative finding matters. A search result from an unofficial list should not be described as the county's release list.

A true same-day check asks about one defined custody event. The key question is whether the person left for the community or was transported to IDOC, another jail, federal custody, or another authority. Bond, dismissal, time served, probation, and a court order can support community release. A transport is different. Shoshone County's unusual number of state-held people awaiting movement makes that distinction especially useful.

Verify the event: A missing name does not prove freedom. Ask the sheriff for the release or transfer type, time, authority, and destination.

Start with the custodian because there is no feed to filter. The jail is part of the Shoshone County Public Safety Building at 717 Bank Street in Wallace. Its published number is 208-556-1114, and administrative hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A caller should give a full name, a known booking date or case number, and the exact 24-hour period at issue.

  1. Call the sheriff and ask whether the person was released, transferred, or remains in custody during the stated period.
  2. Check Idaho iCourt for a Shoshone criminal case and a bond, dismissal, sentence, probation, commitment, or later order.
  3. If the verbal answer lacks detail, use the county documents and forms page and submit the current public-record request form with the sheriff addendum.
  4. Ask for the booking summary, custody-event history, release date and time, event type, releasing authority, and destination or receiving agency.
  5. Check IDOC only when state jurisdiction or transport is possible. Use VINE as a status or alert channel, not as a substitute county list.

The broader Shoshone County released-inmate search is better for tracing one named person across county, court, state, and federal systems. A 24-hour inquiry stays narrow. Narrow dates and named record categories help the custodian locate the event and separate releasable fields from exempt material.

Shoshone Same-Day Record Fields

Because Shoshone County publishes no 24-hour list, none of the common feed fields can be promised online. The county request form also does not promise any particular jail-system field. A focused request may ask for the following data, subject to availability, exemptions, redaction, and fees.

Requested fieldWhat it can clarify
Full name and booking numberConnects the answer to the correct booking rather than a similar name.
Booking date and arresting agencyDefines which local custody episode is being reviewed.
Release date and timePlaces the custody exit inside or outside the stated 24-hour period.
Release event or typeDistinguishes bond, dismissal, time served, court-ordered release, or another event.
Authority or court orderIdentifies the legal source for the change in custody.
Destination or receiving agencySeparates community release from a transfer to IDOC or another custodian.

A judgment can explain why release was authorized, yet it may not state the exact door-exit time. Pair iCourt with the sheriff's custody event. If the response says only “transported,” do not relabel that movement as release.

Shoshone Release Request Route

The county's current form accepts email, mail, pickup, or in-person examination choices. Submit it to Shoshone County, 700 Bank Street, Wallace, Idaho 83873, or use bocc@co.shoshone.id.us. The form lists 208-752-3331 and asks the requester to name the department. Select the Sheriff's Office/911 department, complete its addendum, give a short date range, and ask for an advance cost estimate.

Idaho's public-record law generally calls for a grant or denial to an Idaho resident within three working days. An agency that needs more time can extend that response period to ten working days. That is not a promise of production within a fixed time. Current investigatory or prosecution material may be withheld under Idaho Code § 74-124, while other parts may be released with redaction.

For a three-day span that may catch more events, use the Shoshone County 72-hour release process. The same official channels apply because the county publishes neither window.

Note: Ask for electronic delivery and an estimate, but do not assume the record or booking photo will be free.

Shoshone Release or Transfer

Shoshone County has no public live roster to use as a clean before-and-after test. Direct confirmation must identify the custodian and event. A person may have gone home, entered probation, moved to another jail, or been delivered to IDOC. A detainer, meaning another agency's hold, can also prevent community release even after the local matter changes.

IDOC results may say In custody, In community, Discharged with a date, or Active Bench Warrant. “In community” can even appear with Shoshone County Jail as a physical location. Read the overall status, location, offense row, and dates together before drawing a conclusion.

A discharge date has a specific state meaning. It marks sentence satisfaction and the end of IDOC jurisdiction, not always the earlier date when someone first left a prison door. A “Released to Supervision” field points to parole or probation status instead. Parole is conditional community release from a prison term; probation is court-ordered community supervision that can be imposed instead of, or after, confinement. Neither label should be guessed from a missing jail entry.

No Shoshone Release Feed

The absence of a county interface is the distinctive local fact, not a blank to fill with another county's tool. The official sheriff page was reviewed for a roster, release list, window, cadence, retention statement, fields, photos, and mobile app. None was found. Telephone confirmation, a targeted custody-event request, and iCourt form the reliable local workflow.

VINE can report status or send notices for participating Idaho jail and prison data. It is not a permanent archive and does not promise an exact release time, reason, destination, photo, charge, or historical window. A service delay can also occur. When timing matters, the custodian remains the source to call.

Federal channels apply only when the underlying authority is federal. The BOP locator can show Released or Not in BOP custody, but that proves exit from BOP only. ICE's locator has its own current-custody and recent-release scope. Neither system supplies a Shoshone County same-day list. A local disappearance linked to a federal hold should be traced through the court and responsible federal agency.

Shoshone Booking News Limits

The Shoshone News-Press booking summaries can supply an approximate booking date and alleged booking reason. They are not release reports. A listed booking says a person entered the process at that point; it does not show whether the person later bonded out, was dismissed, completed time, remained held, or transferred.

Shoshone County booking news that is not a 24-hour release list

The captured article also often uses an agency logo rather than an individual photo. Treat the date as a lead for a narrow sheriff request, then confirm the later custody event through an official source.

Booking news can still improve the request when the name has several spellings or the family does not know the booking number. Quote the publication date only as an approximate lead and ask the sheriff to match the official record. Charges in a booking summary are allegations at that stage. The later iCourt disposition may show dismissal, judgment, probation, or another result, while the jail record supplies the physical custody change.

When the sheriff response identifies a court order, request that order from the Shoshone County filing clerk or review it at a courthouse kiosk under Idaho Court Administrative Rule 32. Court access follows court rules rather than the Public Records Act. Presentence reports, juvenile material, sealed files, warrants, and other protected categories may not be public. A public register entry can remain useful even when a document itself is restricted.

Keep the sources in order: booking report for an approximate start date, court record for legal action, sheriff record for the release or transfer event, and IDOC for state custody or supervision. No single source safely replaces all four. This sequence also keeps a same-day inquiry tied to the named person instead of relying on a broad, unofficial feed.
